[Art-mfastudio] FSU|MFA + Utopia 2020 Conference (from GLO & the English Dept.)

Hey Everyone,

I hope that this message finds you all doing well and in good spirits. I recently received a message from Alexander Ruhsenberger, a PhD student in FSU's English Dept., he wrote to inform me that his department and GLO are holding a graduate conference, Utopia 2020, this spring, on April 4th.

They want this to be a highly interdisciplinary conference, with an interest in not only literature, but design, art, future planning, historic depictions of utopia, etc. Their guest speaker for this conference is the Princeton Scholar Joshua Kotin--who has a recently published book called Utopias of One. Attached to this email is a CFP with more info.

Also, on April 3rd, the night before the conference, the English Department would like to hold a get-together. They would welcome the opportunity for someone to present a visual aspect of Utopia (or dystopia, or other related idea). This could be some form of urban planning, design, architecture, art, or any other form of exhibit. If you would like to help out with the planning of the conference or be a part of it in any way, please contact Alexander directly. Have a wonderful rest of your night, guys!
