<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The School of Communication Science and Disorders at Florida State University invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position
beginning in the Spring or Summer semester 2020. The individual in this position will serve as the Director of Clinical Education for our large and diverse programs in speech-language pathology. The School maintains an on-campus speech, language and hearing
clinic that plays an integral role in the clinical training of students in our main campus program. The School also has contractual arrangements with numerous clinical and educational agencies throughout the State of Florida that serve as training facilities
for graduate students in our distance learning program. <span style="background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow">
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating clinical experience/training in the main campus program and assisting the graduate coordinator in the clinical education for our distance learning program. Additional responsibilities
include maintaining familiarity with ASHA accreditation and certification requirements and associated documentation; working with the clinic’s billing manager and other clinical faculty regarding credentialing and reimbursement; and serving on the graduate
advising team. The successful candidate will also have instructional responsibilities related to clinical practicum as well as content coursework in area of expertise.</span> This is a nine-month renewable faculty position with additional summer salary. Minimal
requirements include a Masters degree in speech-language pathology, ASHA CCC-SLP, and five years of experience in clinical supervision/training.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Florida State University is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as a very high research activity institution with outstanding research facilities and infrastructure support.
In addition, the State of Florida has recognized Florida State University as a preeminent research university. The School of Communication Science and Disorders is in the College of Communication and Information. Students can earn undergraduate, masters’,
and doctoral degrees. The masters’ program includes both on-campus and distance learning cohorts. The School is ranked in the top ten present of programs nationally. The environment is highly collaborative with faculty members who have intersecting research
interests that include many aspects of clinical, translational, and basic research. The School is located in a remodeled stand-alone building with ample space for faculty, research laboratories, and diverse clinical programs.

<p class="MsoNormal">The University of South Carolina Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is hosting a conference on October 11, 2019 in celebration of the new Montgomery Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. The conference, entitled "Get the Message:
Informing Science and Practice" will feature presentations by four invited speakers who complement the research and clinical strengths of the department. Registration is required, but free of charge. ASHA members may earn 0.6 ASHA CEUs for participating in
this conference ($35 fee applies, see CEU page for more information). Research conducted by UofSC faculty and students will be presented in a poster session held in the new Montgomery Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic Space. Breakfast, boxed lunches, and snacks
are provided free of charge for registered attendees. The presentations will be livestreamed for remote participation for those who cannot attend in person. CE’s are offered for on-site attendance but will not be offered for those attending via live stream.<o:p></o:p></p>
