<div class="">At Marshall University, we have collaborated with our local hospital’s School of Medicine and their physician’s practice plan, Marshall Health to connect with their system, Allscripts. It was a lengthy and expensive process but we have found
it to be an excellent addition to our university clinic for many reasons. </div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">1) It allows our students an opportunity to learn an EH system that they will use in other medical settings in the “real world.”</div>
<div class="">2) It allows our faculty and students to have access the our clients’ medical record which provides an excellent example of interprofessional collaboration.</div>
<div class="">3) It allows other providers in the system to see our records! </div>
<div class="">4) It allows for an online way for our faculty providers to communicate with physicians and other providers to refer clients to us. This has really increased our referral base! </div>
<div class="">5) It provides monthly financial reports and stats for each provider.</div>

<div class="">We met with academic affairs and discussed accreditation and the need to ensure we are training students at the top of their profession and they are paying for 2/3 and we are paying for 1/3 of the cost. </div>
