Can you please send this to the group? I am on CAA and we are hoping to get a good response rate to the proposed changes! THANKS! And Happy Thanksgiving! LKF Dear Colleague: The Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) implemented new Standards for Accreditation of Graduate Education Programs in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (hereafter, ?Standards?) on August 1, 2017. Since that time, the CAA believes changes are warranted for Standards 1.1 (Institutional Accreditation), 1.9 (Public Information), 3.1A (Audiology Curriculum), 3.1B (Speech-Language Pathology Curriculum), 3.8A/3.8B (Clinical Education-Client Welfare), 5.2 (Program Assessment of Students), 5.7 (Employment Rate) and 5.8 (Analysis of Student Outcome Measures) of the 2017 Standards. Please review the proposed revisions and rationale and provide your comments for each Standard as outlined in the peer review form. The CAA is committed to clarity and consistency in the accreditation standards and the program itself and hopes that these proposed changes, if adopted, will help promote those tenets. The proposed language is presented on CAA?s website for your consideration. If you would like to make any comments on the proposed revisions to the identified Standards or Requirements for Review, please provide them through the online peer review process at https://www.asha.org/form/peer-review-proposed-revisions-to-2017-accreditation-standards/. The online comment period will be open through Monday, December 28, 2020. After reviewing all comments submitted, the CAA will make its final decision regarding the Standards revisions during its February 2021 meeting. All programs will be notified as soon as possible, and the date will be provided for when any changes will go into effect. Please address any questions to the CAA or Accreditation Staff at caastandards at asha.org We thank you in advance for your input. [cid:D8FB066E-9B01-439C-891E-DB5237583724] Lynn K.
