As you may have heard, I?m coordinating the Call for Papers and the CEU?s for the upcoming SEUCE conference. I?ve been talking to Judy Wingate this week and she suggested I contact you about sending a reminder out on the SEUCE e-mail list regarding the call for papers. I?ve re-attached the Call for Papers form to this email. This version contains a new line about how to word the email?s subject line when submitting a proposal. So, if you give the Call for Papers another ?email blast? ? using the attached form -- that would be great. I?ve received a few proposals so far, but we sure could use more! Sincerely, Ken Kenneth J. Our contract is set-up so they get 6% of what we are paid (for which they bill ? we still have some 3rd party hearing payers who want billing done through us on more of a letter/invoice and some private pay hearing aids that we bill ourselves). It has been amazing for us as we do not have a person in our clinic who has knowledge or has done billing. We do not get any university support for our clinic so it has to be self-sufficient. We pay for our administrative assistant as well as any clinic supplies or other things we may need through the clinic funds. Thanks! We also bill for audiology. As far as credentialing goes, you go about the process as any other provider. You have to apply to all the insurance companies, get NPI's, etc. It is a tedious and long process. We are lucky that we started billing from the start of the clinic so we have never had to switch over. Wendy Wendy J. Do any of you have recommendations on free or affordable management strategies for your materials room? If you could share the cost and what you like/don't like about it, I would be most appreciative. We have been putting this off for far too long for various reasons, but I think our Leadership team is ready to move forward. I'm thinking something similar to what a library uses to scan inventory in and out for checkout; and if it can tell us when we're low on test protocol's that would be fantastic. We had reached out to our University library to see if they had suggestions regarding affordable inventory software. We were surprised when they offered to include our materials in the current University system. This means we were able to send them a list of our inventory, and they added it to the University library check in/check out system. They restricted access to the materials to only our students and faculty. This means students can use the library search engine to find available material, and we only had to purchase a card reader so students could scan their ID in our actual clinic to check items in and out. This will be our first semester using the system, but we are hopeful it was a move in the right direction. Sarah Sarah Clemins M. S.
