Currently I am working as project fellow in Department of Botany, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, India. I want to know more about the work being done in your lab and also in future plan to come there and work there if possible. I have worked in plant leaf morphometrics in my dissertation and currently pursuing my PhD. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks and regards -- Kavi Oza Project Fellow, UGC DRS Phase-II, Department of Botany, Faculty of Science, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... My name is Ben Pomidor, one of Dr. Dennis Slice's former students. I am sorry to inform you that Dr. Slice passed away last year. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that the Geometric Morphometrics Lab will continue at Florida State University. It sounds like you have a genuine interest in morphometrics, so I encourage you to continue your pursuit with another lab that specializes in morphometrics. A good place to start looking would be the "People" tab of the SUNY Stony Brook morphometrics page (https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://life.bio.sunysb.edu/morph/__;!!PhOWcWs!lveQ2NLUXgKAmUhV-h3vsSPfRfkd26bsHd4RBWGj8YfVr2BQ8OopIl3MZiqkNv5CPA$ ) which has a list of researchers and their interests, although it is a few years out of date. Best of luck, Ben Pomidor ________________________________ From: SC-MorphLab on behalf of Kavi Oza Sent: Friday, May 15, 2020 8:57 AM To: morphlab at sc.fsu.edu Subject: [SC-MorphLab] About further morphometrics studies Respected authorities of Morphometrics lab, I am very delightful to know that there is a dedicated lab in the field of morphometrics. I think of Dr. Slice's memorable antics often and find myself recounting his more peculiar eccentricities to others. I credit Dr. Slice with affording me my first an opportunity in science, but what I truly admired was his zealous approach to life. I hope you have all found your peace and take comfort knowing there is one more person fondly remembering him as a mentor.
