We’ve received a lot of questions from students about being unable to attend certain events because of class conflicts due to the adjusted schedule we’ve had this semester. We are sharing the following policy
for Academic Year 2020-21 to address these concerns.

In general, Environmental Certificate Students must be present at enrichment events in person to receive certificate credit. However, due to the pandemic, enrichment events are taking place over Zoom, and some
courses have been scheduled during the lunch window normally preserved for programmatic events.

For that reason, in 2020-21, certificate students unable to attend an enrichment event synchronously due to a conflict with a pre-scheduled FSU course may request permission from the program to receive credit
for participating in that event asynchronously. To receive credit, the student must demonstrate the conflict and have both sought and received permission in advance of the event (so please do not wait until the last minute). Students will be invited to attend
a separate showing of the event at a later time.
