<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:black">Caterina Gratton, Ph.D., Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and a Faculty Affiliate of the Institute for Successful Longevity,
 has received an R01 grant from the </span><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:black">National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke</span><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:black">.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:black">The grant will bring in $941,801 to support her work at FSU.</span><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:black">With this support, Gratton’s research team will use precision imaging to track how brain networks break down in individuals with Parkinson's
 Disease, with the goal of improving understanding of the </span><span style="font-size:14.0pt">variability across patients</span><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:black"> in cognitive, motor, and psychiatric symptoms seen in the disorder.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">While Parkinson's Disease is best known for its motor symptoms, individuals with the disorder have a wide range of cognitive and psychiatric symptoms
 as well.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:black">Gratton’s research project is a collaborative effort with Dr. Meghan Campbell and others in the Movement Disorders group at Washington
 University in St. Louis. The total grant value for the five-year project is </span>
