<p>Numerous technological innovations have entered the healthcare system in recent years, and many are of great value in supporting the patient health journey. Still, critical implementation barriers exist at the level of patients, physicians, and healthcare
systems. These barriers may hamper widespread use of these innovations in routine clinical practice.<br>

The overall scope of this special issue of <em><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Psychosomatic Medicin</span></em>e is to provide a comprehensive overview of technological innovations in psychosomatic research and clinical practice and raise awareness
of these innovations so that they may be incorporated into research and clinical practice. <br>

Abstracts should be up to 250 words and formatted for <em><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Psychosomatic Medicine</span></em>. We will review abstracts and notify authors whether they will be invited to submit a full manuscript for special issue
consideration by <strong><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">January 4, 2022</span></strong>, and we request full manuscript submissions by
<strong><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:black;background:lightyellow">March 23, 2022.</span></strong> We anticipate that most invited papers will later be accepted for publication. However, all papers will be sent out for external review
and final acceptance will be based on the evaluation of the Guest Editors and Editor-in-Chief of Psychosomatic Medicine.<br>

Articles will be published ahead-of-print soon after acceptance and later in the print Special Issue (expected in late 2022).<br>
