Jennifer Steiner, Ph.D., will speak today at noon on “Alcohol & Aging in Mice: Friend or Foe?” in the first ISL Brown Bag for the fall semester.

Dr. Steiner, a Faculty Affiliate of the Institute for Successful Longevity, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Integrative Physiology, where she conducts research into the integration of exercise physiology and nutrition and the role of these factors in the prevention and treatment of disease as well as the promotion of optimal health and performance.

Her current work focuses on the impact of alcohol, sepsis or different dietary and exercise interventions in regards to the maintenance of skeletal muscle health and its interaction with other organ systems.
