From: David Lipten Sent: Tuesday, November 15, 2022 9:52 AM To: Neil Charness Subject: Center for Retirement Research Neil, Good morning. The above has issued a call for a dissertation fellowship program and a research grant. The latter will have to go through the Research Foundation, in all likelihood. The former is for individuals. But, I just thought I'd bring it to your attention in case there is a fit for anyone. Here is the information: The Center for Retirement Research at Boston College invites applications for research through two programs: Dissertation Fellowship Program: Grants of up to $28,000 will be awarded to support doctoral candidates to pursue research on retirement or disability issues. Individuals from historically underserved or underrepresented communities are encouraged to apply. Up to three grants will be awarded to doctoral candidates enrolled in an accredited program at a U.S. university. Steven H. Sandell Grant Program: Grants of up to $45,000 will be awarded to support junior or non-tenured scholars (within seven years of receiving their PhD) from all academic disciplines to pursue projects on retirement or disability issues. Individuals from historically underserved or underrepresented communities are encouraged to apply. Up to three grants will be awarded. Research focal areas include: disparities by race and ethnicity, decline in SSDI and SSI applications, improving communication and outreach, economic security of SSA beneficiaries, improving service delivery, return-to-work, and informing Trust Fund projections. For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the Center for Retirement Research website. https://crr.bc.edu/about-us/grant-programs/ Hope this helps.
