This study aims to identify strategies to expand age-friendly campus practices related to three institutional functions identified as high-impact, high-need areas: teaching and learning, personnel, and student affairs. The study will use a focus group methodology that draws on the perspectives of campus administrators, staff, faculty, and older students. We are writing to invite you and your colleagues to participate in a focus group. Attached is more information about the study and your participation. Participants will receive a $50 gift card for their time and effort. We have filled many focus group slots but still need staff and administrators (with experience related to teaching and learning, personnel, student affairs), and older students (in undergraduate or graduate degree programs), to complete a few focus groups. If you have recommendations for individuals you think would be interested in participating, we'd love to hear from you. You are also welcome to volunteer! We would greatly appreciate your forwarding this message as quickly as possible. Best, Jean >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dear Colleague: We are excited to share the latest Research.gov proposal preparation functionality updates, together with information about NSF Public Access Repository (NSF-PAR) enhancements. Beginning in January 2023, all new proposals must be prepared and submitted in Research.gov or Grants.gov. FastLane will no longer be a preparation and submission option. The National Science Foundation strongly urges proposers to prepare and submit all eligible proposals in Research.gov now, to support a smooth transition from FastLane proposal preparation and submission to Research.gov in January 2023. New Research.gov Proposal Preparation Functionality Available May 2nd New Postdoctoral Fellowship Proposal Type ? The Postdoctoral Fellowship proposal type is available in Research.gov for proposals submitted in response to postdoctoral fellowship solicitations that do not contain reference letter requirements. The postdoctoral fellowship solicitations will be updated to include information about proposal preparation and submission in Research.gov. ? To initiate a postdoctoral fellowship proposal in Research.gov, the proposer must first have the Postdoctoral Scholar/Principal Investigator (PI) role, which is different from the PI role. ? Refer to the Postdoctoral Fellowship Proposals topic Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on the Research.gov About Proposal Preparation and Submission page for instructions to add the Postdoctoral Scholar/PI role. Additional guidance is available in the Add a New Role - Postdoctoral Fellowship Principal Investigator section of the Account Management Guide on the Research.gov About Account Management page. ? Postdoctoral fellowship program solicitations will only display in Research.gov and be available for selection for proposers preparing a proposal as a Postdoctoral Scholar/PI. New Research.gov Proposal Features ? Expanded Where to Apply Options: Proposers now have to the ability to choose additional Directorate/Division/Program options (i.e., secondary units of consideration) to direct proposals to NSF. Refer to the Managing Where to Apply topic FAQs on the Research.gov About Proposal Preparation and Submission page for additional information. ? Project Data Form: The Project Data Form is now available in Research.gov and must be included in proposals for selected funding opportunities in the Directorate for Education and Human Resources (EHR)/Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE). See the Project Data Form topic FAQs on the Research.gov About Proposal Preparation and Submission page for details. ? Separate Uploads of Multiple Supplementary Documents: Proposers can now upload multiple PDF documents in the Other Supplementary Documents proposal section and will no longer need to combine documents into a single PDF prior to uploading. NSF Public Access Repository (NSF-PAR) Enhancements Effective May 2nd * PIs and co-PIs can now remove research datasets from NSF-PAR without assistance from the NSF Help Desk by disassociating the NSF award(s) from the dataset. Disassociating all NSF awards from a dataset removes the dataset from the NSF-PAR publicly facing search. * Deposit of dataset information in NSF-PAR remains optional, and there are no changes at this time to NSF's Public Access policy or project reporting requirements. Training resources are available on the Research.gov About Public Access page. Information about the NSF Public Access Initiative including FAQs is available on the NSF Public Access Initiative page. Feedback about the PAR 2.0 pilot may be submitted to publicaccess at nsf.gov. For information about Research.gov proposal functionality planned for release in the coming months, please see the Proposal Submission Capabilities on the Research.gov About Proposal Preparation and Submission page. All enabled proposal and submission types are also available to try out on the Research.gov Proposal Preparation Demo Site (you will be prompted to sign in to Research.gov if you are not already signed in). Demo site FAQs can be found on the Research.gov About Proposal Preparation and Submission page left navigation menu. Questions? If you have IT system-related questions regarding the new functionality and enhancements, please contact the NSF Help Desk at 1-800-381-1532 (7:00 AM - 9:00 PM ET; Monday - Friday except federal holidays) or via email to rgov at nsf.gov. Policy-related questions should be directed to policy at nsf.gov. Here's the latest RFP from the Retirement Research Foundation. They are "accepting applications for its grantmaking program in support of projects that directly impact the adult population aged 65 and older. Priority areas include: Caregiving: Ensuring that care partners (including family members, friends, or neighbors) are informed, well-trained, and supported as they care for older people in community settings. Housing: Promoting efforts that make housing more affordable and provide coordinated services that enable older people to remain living in the community safely and with dignity. Economic Security in Later Life: Valuing the dignity of older people through efforts that ensure and protect their economic security and well-being. Social and Intergenerational Connectedness: Reducing isolation and loneliness in later life through efforts to strengthen meaningful social bonds, including those that span generations. Grants will be awarded in support of advancements in aging through various pathways, including advocacy, direct service, research, professional education and training, and organizational capacity building. While the priority areas reflect RRF's primary funding interests, the foundation will consider compelling applications on other topics. Letters of inquiry are due June 1, 2022, and selected applicants will be invited to submit full proposals by August 1, 2022. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations that are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code as public charities or nonprofit organizations that are not required to have a 501(c)(3) designation, such as state-funded universities and Area Agencies on Aging." From: Scott, Stephanie Sent: Wednesday, May 25, 2022 2:35 PM To: FDPMAIN-L at LSW.NAS.EDU Subject: UPDATE: Entity Validation Delays at SAM.gov The following message is being sent to the FDPMain, FDP-Faculty, FDP-Friends, and FDP-Executive Committee listservs ############################################################### [cid:image001.png at 01D87044.1B9B01A0] The following information was shared with the FDP from the General Services Administration (GSA) regarding the entity validation delays for SAM.gov registrations and Unique Entity ID (UEI) requests. We were asked to share the information below with our members. They have consolidated and updated their FAQs, and wish to highlight the FAQs provide guidance on creating incidents and submitting the correct documentation for entity validation. Please read the announcement below carefully. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- As you're aware, on April 4, 2022, the federal government changed entity validation service providers at the same time it stopped using the DUNS Number and began using the Unique Entity ID in SAM.gov to uniquely identify entities. All entities, even those already registered in SAM.gov, must validate their entity information through the new service provider. Data rights limitations require SAM.gov to collect the data from the user directly, not use previously validated data. This means entities may have to provide supporting documentation to update the new service provider's data. This is an expected part of a complex data transition. I wanted to reach out again to assure you that we are continuing to improve the entity validation process for entities registering in SAM.gov and those only getting Unique Entity IDs. We are closely monitoring the situation and it is our top priority to address validation requests. As we are working on our end, it is important that we receive actionable documentation from your members. To assist your members with the new validation process, we consolidated and updated our FAQs. In addition to general information about the validation process, these FAQs provide guidance on creating incidents and submitting the correct documentation. Please feel free to share this information with your community as we continue to improve the validation process. ############################################## Sent from the FDP Communications Committee at communications at thefdp.org. ############################ To unsubscribe from the FDPMAIN-L list, click the following link: http://forums.nas.edu/scripts/wa.exe?TICKET=NzM4MzMwIENoYXJuZXNzQFBTWS5GU1UuRURVIEZEUE1BSU4tTHecMajJAi43&c=SIGNOFF -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
