Neil,
If you don't mind, could you send out a reminder about this? Note that I would also be interested in a good literature review of the research related to successful longevity that touches on where/when the academic research begins on this topic, current hot areas, etc.
Thanks,
Patty

Subject: [Isl] Special Issue related to Successful Longevity

Hi Folks:

Patty Born and I have been discussing the possibility of a special issue in Risk Management journal she edits. If you are interested in contributing, the details are below. Best, Neil

In conjunction with the FSU Institute for Successful Longevity, the Editorial Board of Risk Management and Insurance Review (RMIR) is seeking manuscripts for a Focus issue on Managing Successful Longevity. RMIR publishes Feature Articles, Perspectives, and Data Insights in the area of risk management and insurance. It is sponsored by the American Risk and Insurance Association, along with the Journal of Risk and Insurance.
Manuscripts submitted for the Focus issue may address any issue related to the management of successful longevity but should emphasize the risks inherent in aging that stem from functional and cognitive declines. Possible topic areas include measuring effects of aging on particular behaviors, identifying barriers to successful longevity, and the evaluation of interventions to counter functional and cognitive declines.
Manuscripts should be submitted by September 1, 2021, through the journal's ScholarOne Portal at https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/rmir. Interested authors may contact Neil Charness, Guest Editor for the Focus issue, at charness at psy.fsu.edu<mailto:charness at psy.fsu.edu> or Patty Born, Editor, at pborn at business.fsu.edu<mailto:pborn at business.fsu.edu> for more information. Authors may also want to visit the RMIR site at https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/15406296 for submission instructions and to view previously published articles.

Best, Neil
