The Institute for Successful Longevity's 2019-20 Brown Bag Series starts Monday with the Interprofessional Education Journal Club's discussion of recent articles of interest.

The Brown Bag is at noon Monday, September 9, in Room A204 of the Psychology Department, 1107 West Call Street.

The College of Medicine Department of Geriatrics' Interprofessional Journal Club meetings are opportunities for stakeholders from across campus and professions to come together to discuss new developments and innovation in the care and wellbeing of older adults. The chosen articles always have a multidisciplinary element so as to encourage interest of those across fields.

Dr. Paul Katz, Chair of the Department of Geriatrics in the College of Medicine, will present Robert E. Burke's article from BMJ on quality measurement and nursing homes, and will be referencing Dongjuan Xu's article from the same BMJ issue on nursing home quality as it relates to preventable hospitalizations.

Dr. Alice Pomidor, Professor in the Department of Geriatrics, will present Aradhana Verma's JAGS article on caring for unrepresented adults. She will be referencing AGS's position statement.
