<a href="http://www.talgov.com/cityleadership/tfla.aspx"><span style="color:blue">Tallahassee Future Leaders Academy</span></a> (TFLA). The TFLA program is sponsored by the City of Tallahassee, which partners with area organizations to provide summer jobs for
local youth (ages 15-19). The program provides community youth with work experience, professional development, and mentorship. We encourage you to watch the

<p class="MsoNormal">TFLA is a mentorship employment program. TFLA students are not eligible for remote work. By hosting a student, you are committing to being physically present to provide supervision and mentorship.

<ul style="margin-top:0in" type="disc">
<li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:115%;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo2">Student availability may not always line up with a hybrid work schedule. This may mean you have to adjust your remote schedule during the program. Please do not request a student if you
are unwilling to supervise them on your remote days.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:115%;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo2">In the event you have scheduled leave, you may have one backup supervisor designated.
<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:115%;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo2">It will be your responsibility to work with the backup designee to ensure the student has supervision.
<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:115%;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo2">Both supervisors are required to have a recent Level 2 background check, which is funded by Central HR.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:115%;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo2">If you are unable to work out a schedule between you and the backup supervisor, this program may not be the right fit as the goal is to foster a mentorship relationship with TFLA students.
