<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:10.0pt;line-height:115%">On March 18, 2020, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) was signed into law. This new law contains two leave benefits that will be available to eligible employees (including OPS)
 at Florida State University. These leave benefits will be provided in addition to an employee’s accrued leave balance. To assist departments with understanding and implementing the new law, the HR Coronavirus Taskforce will host another open Zoom call on

<b>Eligibility</b>: An employee must be employed for a minimum of thirty (30) days and is unable to work remotely due to child care needs related to COVID-19 day care and school closures.

Provides fulltime employees up to 80 hours of paid sick leave when the employee is unable to work because the employee is quarantined and/or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and seeking a medical diagnosis.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom:10.0pt;mso-add-space:auto;line-height:115%;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">
Provides fulltime employees up to 80 hours of paid sick leave at <b>two-thirds</b> the employee’s regular rate of pay if the employee is unable to work onsite or work remotely due to the need to care for an individual subject to quarantine or care for a child
