On <b>Tuesday, November 19</b> from <b>11am</b> to <b>11:30am</b>, we will update our Slurm scheduler to the latest version, v24.05. Unlike prior software upgrades, the downtime will be minimal. There are some minor impacts to be aware of, though:</div>

<div class="elementToProof">The scheduler will not accept new job submissions during the maintenance window. This includes jobs submitted by any automated pre-scheduler scripts that you may be running.</div>

Note that this upgrade will apply exclusively to the Slurm controller node, not the compute nodes. The compute nodes will still reflect the current version of Slurm (v23.02.7).</div>

We anticipate upgrading the compute nodes starting no earlier than December 2. The impact of these upgrades will be minimal too.</div>
