If not, please click on the link in your email (or below) and cast your vote today! The conference planning committee will be receiving the results from Craig soon, and we want to make sure we have as much input as possible. Currently, after 54 votes from the FACRL membership, the themes are only separated by a few votes, so we value your time and input in this decision making process. If you already voted, thank you! [A sentence about our libraries adapting to changes in higher education/ our institutions.] Consider how your library has approached the following academic library trends identified by the ACRL: * Open access * Textbook affordability and OERs * Learning analytics * Data management * Project management and collaboration How are our libraries engaging in our campus conversations and innovations surrounding these issues? FACRL invites proposals for our Annual Program in formats including 45-minute presentations, panel discussions, and poster sessions. Proposed update to program schedule and formats: * Breakfast * Opening plenary * 45-min presentation + Q&A period: Breakout sessions A * Break * 15-min: Poster session A * Break * 45-min presentation + Q&A period: Breakout sessions B * Lunch * 45-min presentation + Q&A period: Breakout sessions C * Break * 15-min: Poster session A * Break * Time ???: Panel/ lightning round * Closing Program Committee First Meeting: May 6th * Please note: We were careful with the language to not specify ?Librarians? in the title this year, a request we had received last year in an effort to better communicate that this is an inclusive conference. I agree with Alyssa's comments. You've got a great eye for detail. Do you also want to indicate the times that attendees will be encouraged to visit with the vendors? Maybe show an asterisk in each of the times that persons might wish to visit with them (before event, during breaks, etc.) and indicate the meaning of the asterisk on the program? Wondering if vendors notice this (or it is pointed out to them) when they are approached for sponsorship if this would let them see that we have scheduled multiple times for attendees to meet with them. Thanks! Well, it?s happening and I?m pleased to share information about the inaugural Panhandle Academic Libraries Conference below. We?ve also created a website here https://www.plan.lib.fl.us/events/panhandle-academic-libraries-conference/. A few questions for you: 1. Do you have any ideas for promoting the conference? Would you be open to sharing this on the FACRL mail list? 2. Does FACRL want to participate/sponsor in any way? 3. The conference is open to all, so please feel free to submit proposals and register. Registration is free, and we?re hoping for sponsorship to cover meals and coffee break. 4. I?ll also keep you updated on the final schedule. We?re hoping to offer a couple of streaming sessions, incl. a keynote by Elijah Scott. Let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Here are my two cents: 1. I think this definitely qualifies as a legitimate item of interest for Florida academic librarians that we want to support, so I would suggest that you are free to send it out to the FACRL list in order to help market the conference. 1. It would be great for FACRL to have a presence at the conference, even if it is just an outreach table or providing promotional materials. Is anyone interested in submitting an FACRL proposal to present? We can discuss other ideas to support as well. 1. That sounds great! 1. Maybe we could make the streaming available more broadly? Maybe we could ask the FLVC to market this out to their lists as well? Thanks! [Broward College] Craig Amos?
