I position within the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) is responsible for teaching 1-3 sections of SLS 1122: Strategies for Academic Success each semester, including summer. This is a one-credit course primarily serving first-time-in-college students in
academic difficulty after their first semester of enrollment. The Instructional Specialist will work to develop and/or collaborate on academic recovery and student success initiatives within ACE and throughout the Division. This position includes individual
student contact outside of class by offering one-on-one personal academic consultations. Additionally, the Instructional Specialist will present ACE workshops and invited presentations to the university at large.</span></p>
