Powell Weather Observatory In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: EOAS Colleagues and friends, It is my pleasure and honor to announce that room 6067 of the EOAS building (the sixth floor maproom) has been named the Mark D. Powell Weather Observatory (image attached) thanks to a generous donation from Meteorology alumnus Dr. Mark Powell (BS ?75, PhD ?88). This endowment will be used to maintain the room (which includes an 18 foot diagonal electronic weather/video wall) in the future. This will ensure that this teaching and research tool will remain state of the art and one of the many key technologies for EOAS students in their education, while also providing for the best view of the weather itself on the entire FSU campus. Thank you Mark for your kindness and generosity and for your support of FSU Meteorology.
