Prof. Alex Purves (UCLA)</b> who will speak on <b>"Deep Blue Homer: Underwater Worlds in Greek Myth and Poetry."</b>

<div>Professor Purves has published widely on Greek literature, including the books

<i>Space and Time in Ancient Greek Narrative</i> (Cambridge University Press 2010) and <i>Homer and the Poetics of Gesture</i> (Oxford University Press 2019). She is also the recipient of UCLA's Distinguished Teaching Award.</div>
