You do not need to ask the instructor for permission prior to recommending their course. I will send each instructor an email, introduce myself and the mission of COGS, and ask if there would be an opportunity to speak to their graduate students during one
of their class periods, or alternatively, if they could post a summary of COGS and information for joining as a representative to their course Canvas site. </div>
