I have been very grateful to lead the 28th Congress of Graduate Students. We have had a rough ride these past 8 months and I have been impressed with your ability to adapt to these trying times. Though we were crippled by the funding freeze, I believe the resolutions
that we passed supporting diversity and inclusivity for FSU students during the summer to be some of the most meaningful work I have been able to contribute to in my time as a member of COGS.

I have chosen to step down from my position because I am no longer able to commit the kind of time necessary to hold this position due to a planned increase in my responsibilities as a member of the Office of Counseling Services at FAMU. I did declare my candidacy
to retain my position as a Representative for the College of Education and I intend to remain active in the coming year though in a lesser capacity. I wish I could have been with y'all yesterday to inform you of my resignation in person, but unfortunately,
I experienced the death of a dear friend on Sunday evening and was unable to attend. I have the greatest faith in the current leadership of COGS, to each of whom I extend a deep sense of gratitude for their service and friendship, and I know that y'all will
continue to impress me with your professionalism and dedication to the Student Body.
