The participant pool relies on the involvement of instructors from selected courses willing to give students the possibility to acquire a small part of their course grade via research participation. These students always participate in research studies strictly on a voluntary basis. There will be designated crafts and snacks for the kids each week. The volunteering would take place January 16 - March 5, Tuesday nights 5:15 - 7:15 p.m. Volunteers do not have to sign up for all 8 weeks, but applicants who are available for the majority of these meetings will be prioritized. This opportunity is open to 2nd year graduate assistants and professional staff with an interest and the disposition to have difficult conversations with students. SCCS is in need of willing volunteers and will be offering trainings in the month of January. The trainings that will be offered are new hearing officer training (open to anyone); Title IX Hearing Officer Training (open only to returning hearing officers or new hearing officers who attend the initial training); and an Appellate Officer Training (open only to returning hearing officers or new hearing officers who attend the initial training). 1.
