Lawmakers and elected officials are not experts on every issue before them, even if they have backgrounds in education. They rely on outside information to help inform decision making. If we are not advocating on behalf of our students, teachers, and profession,
someone else is – and they may tell a different story. If we are not at the table, we are on the menu. Speakers in this session will share practical ways for education faculty to successfully engage in advocacy at local, state, and federal levels. </span><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
