I came back to FSU to work on a specialist degree in Educational Leadership because I had already completed a bachelor's and master's in Special Education and was well aware of how excellent the College of Education is at Florida State University. I have several research interests, including how to increase ELA learning gains in our lowest quartile at the high school level, how to build high school campuses where all students feel included, how an administrator can build capacity and a culture of excellence in their school, and what schools would look like if teachers and administrators wrote school policy. There are so many more as education is a field full of questions and is ever-changing. After graduation, I will continue with my English teaching position at Leon High School. I will consider entering the administrator pool for Leon County Schools at the end of the school year and would love to stay connected with Florida State University. Have news to share?
