We’re excited to invite Gabriel Brackman, Sr. Solution Architect of Amazon Web Services to offer our students hands-on workshops at LSB 206 on Friday March 24, 2023 at 11am–4pm. These topics will give participants good foundational knowledge of AWS and support goals of becoming certified in AWS or participating in Game Days in the future. Students will have access to the provided AWS accounts for three days if they would like to continue learning and experimenting. Below is some information on AWS Immersion Days that will help give potential participants an idea of what to expect:

Bringing builders together to learn about AWS

AWS Immersion Days are a series of events that are designed to educate you about AWS products and services and help you develop the skills needed to build, deploy, and operate infrastructure and applications in the cloud. Immersion Days leverage a modular content format and are structured to provide general overviews of a given service or solution. Hands on labs provide you with an immersive experience in the AWS console. Sessions are delivered by AWS Solutions Architects and subject matter experts.

Why attend?

Whether you are new to AWS or an experienced user, you can learn something new at an Immersion Day. These events are designed to help you develop the right skills to create new insights, enable new efficiencies, and make more accurate decisions.

Who should attend?

These events are designed for the technical audience including Infrastructure Administrators, Database Administrators, Developers, Architects, and Students. However, anyone is welcome to attend and learn new skills.
