We are excited and honored to welcome guest speaker <b>Zoë Charlton</b> to campus. Join us on
<b>October 16th at 5:30 pm in FAB 249</b> for this artist talk, presented by the FSU Department of Art and Museum of Fine Arts (MoFA). Learn more about Charlton's artistic practice, artworks that pay homage to Tallahassee and family, and her solo show Akimbo.
There will be an opening reception in the MoFA galleries following Charlton's talk.</div>

<b>About Zoë Charlton</b></div>
<div style="font-family: "Yu Gothic", 游ゴシック, YuGothic, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" class="elementToProof">
Zoë Charlton (Baltimore, MD) creates figure drawings, collages, installations, and animations that depict her subject’s relationship to culturally resonant objects and landscapes. Charlton, an alumna of the FSU Department of Art, earned her MFA from the University
of Texas at Austin and has held residencies at Artpace (TX), McColl Center for Art + Innovation (NC),Ucross Foundation (WY), the Skowhegan School of Painting (ME), and the Patterson Residency at the Creative Alliance (MD). Charlton is currently a tenured Full
Professor of Art and Director of the School of Art at George Mason University, in Fairfax, VA.</div>
