students are reporting increased levels of distress, putting them at risk for depression, substance abuse, and other negative outcomes. As a faculty or staff member, you may be the first one to notice signs of distress in a student. It is important that you
are prepared to respond to such concerns.<br>

To address this concern, the Florida Board of Governors has contracted with <a href="http://click.message.fsu.edu/?qs=b9459074d943d5b928baa3137c7d2eba5ec5554015be48e995146b637d6c59480995bb992bc9d81eae4a7306d1a6fe2bf53b64c7b87af049" title="Kognito">
<span style="color:#782F40">Kognito </span></a>and implemented their At-Risk for Faculty and Staff online training. It is a simulation-based training designed to help faculty and staff members strengthen their ability to notice signs of emotional distress,
use techniques to discuss concerns, and refer students to appropriate campus resources when necessary. While the simulation uses a faculty-student situation to demonstrate, the information and skills you will learn apply to faculty and staff. The simulation
should take approximately 45 minutes to complete, depending on your level of engagement. <br>
<br>
The Florida Board of Governors is <b>requiring</b> this training for all state university employees to include both faculty and staff. It is our expectation that you complete this training no later than October 9, 2020. Instructions for completing the training
